Following the successful launch of the initial E-Axle RepSystem-G and RepSystem-M solutions in 2022 and 2024, Schaeffler is now introducing a significantly expanded portfolio for the repair of e-axles and their subsystems, such as electric motors and transmissions. Effective immediately, repair systems for the transmission (E-Axle RepSystem-G) and for the electric motor (E-Axle RepSystem-M) are available for these vehicle models: Hyundai Ioniq AE-EV, Volkswagen eGolf VII with 100 kW and 85 kW, Volkswagen eUp, BMW I3, and Nissan Leaf. Empowering workshops to easily repair electric drives With this expansion, the company is taking another step towards guiding workshops safely through the technical requirements of e-mobility. The new repair solutions cover a wide range of common electric vehicle platforms, bundling all necessary components for repair into a single kit, along with a clearly structured repair guide. Workshops benefit from a broad selection of vehicle-specific repair systems and gain a cost-effective and sustainable alternative to replacing complete e-axles. At the same time, Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions continues to expand its range of digital training offerings and repair information under the REPXPERT service brand. The aim is to equip workshops with the technological know-how they need for e-mobility and to enable them to repair modern electric drive systems safely, efficiently, and independently. “The repair of electric drive systems is becoming a key success factor in the aftermarket,” says Stephan Niese, Director Global Product Management E-Mobility at Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions. “We make these repairs manageable and economical for workshops. With the right components, tools, and training, workshops can professionally and safely repair e-axles.” E-Axle Repair Tool: Professional assembly and disassembly of electric motors All E-Axle RepSystem-M repairs can be carried out using the E-Axle Repair Tool developed by Schaeffler, ensuring the proper repair of electric powertrains. This special tool enables the safe and contact-free disassembly and assembly of the rotor and stator, ensuring precise positioning of the components. This is particularly important to prevent wear that could potentially lead to motor damage.
