Round two of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) at Spa-Francorchamps is a major “rehearsal” for Porsche and Schaeffler. For the WEC participants, it is the final competition before the season’s pinnacle event, the Le Mans 24 Hours on June 18 and 19. Porsche will be on the grid with two 919 Hybrid cars in the top LMP1 category and is currently the leader of the standings with Romain Dumas/Neel Jani/Marc Lieb.
Schaeffler is in the third season of its commitment in the world championship as a partner of the German premium automobile brand. No other racing discipline unites endurance and top technological performances in this unique way. Porsche is the only manufacturer in the field to combine two different kinds of energy recovery of its hybrid system with a highly efficient and powerful gasoline engine.
