Global supplier of material handling equipment can now improve customer satisfaction and manage data more efficiently within the SAP landscape
BURLINGTON, Massachusetts, March 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
Attunity Ltd. (NASDAQ: ATTU), a leading provider of Big Data management software solutions, announced today that Bearing Distributors, Inc., a leading supplier of bearings, power transmission components, electric motors and material handling equipment to OEMs and industrial users, has selected Attunity Gold Client to deliver quality and reliable data within its test environments and speed refresh cycles to migrate the company's systems to SAP.
Established in 1935, Bearing Distributors, Inc. has grown from a small mid-western US distributor of bearings to a global supplier of industrial goods, services and solutions. The company provides the industry with a vast inventory of bearings, conveyors, power transmission components, motors, controls and material handling equipment. Previously, Bearing Distributors, Inc. was running SAP systems in five countries across the globe and had planned to execute a roll-out of the SAP system in additional countries. However, it had been challenged with extensive refresh cycles, which were taking a minimum of two weeks - with one week of systems being offline. The company required a flexible and reliable solution to enable a more efficient process and maximize the value of its investment in SAP.
Using Attunity Gold Client, a premier data replication, management and refresh software, analysts at Bearing Distributors were able to instantaneously bring down data to update or resolve an issue in real-time. The SAP application-specific solution helped the Company reduce enterprise storage requirements and improve the quality and availability of test data. For Bearing Distributors, the ability to test on production-quality data was the only way to ensure comprehensive and efficient testing.
"Creating and updating our non-production systems with reliable data and waiting on long refresh cycles were the most difficult challenges we faced in our test environment," said Ken Gaddis, Development Manager at Bearing Distributors. "With Attunity Gold Client, we are able to quickly resolve data management issues by keeping our live systems online and delivering quality standby systems that are used for thorough testing and issues resolution. Our customer relationships are our number one priority, and with Attunity, we can deliver the highest level of service and support as well as meet our customers' unique challenges using its best-in-class products."
"Deploying a practical and flexible approach to replicating data in any environment was a business imperative for Bearing Distributors," stated Matt Hayes, VP SAP Business at Attunity. "We are pleased that Attunity Gold Client is able to assist our customer in meeting that goal. It is rewarding to be able to help reduce infrastructure and maintenance costs by efficiently maintaining smaller, fully functional environments containing accurate business data. Most importantly, Bearing Distributors is now able to minimize business disruptions, providing uninterrupted and high-quality service to their valued customers."
